BlogExplosion is pleased to announce a brand new ShoutBox with full audio and video capability.

Over the last couple of months members have been providing tons of feedback to what features they wanted most, so we went out and found the best solution that fits those requirements.

BlogCharm is getting closer to our March 1st date and with over 1000 members already we are looking forward to a big launch!

Now when you login to BlogCharm you will see your Ad Center that keeps track of how much money you have made. As of February 24th you will be able to add your Paypal information and get ready for our March 1st launch.

How BlogCharm works?

BlogCharm members get paid to blog every time your blog is seen. We offer a variety of advertising options where members share in the total revenues generated by the site whether it be shared blog inventory or blog site sponsorships. Additional options will be added moving forward and as BlogCharm gets larger means that the advertising prices will increase as well which will result in more money in your pockets!

How does the AdScrubber work?

There will be people that unfortunately will try to cheat the system which steals money from the rest of the honest members.

The AdScrubber is a program that checks your traffic each day for

- total visits

- unique visits

- comments

- quality of content

- plus several other behind the scenes things that we monitor for potential cheaters

This means if you are simply refreshing your page all the time that you will not get paid for those visits. Also for members trying to use automation software to increase their visits, we will also be implementing checks to keep members honest.

How are BlogCharm sponsorships determined?

Each 30 days or so we will have new sponsors that advertise on the main page and in the directory that pay a flat sponsorship fee each month. We split that sponsorship revenue with members 50-50 and that money will be added to your account automatically each month. We will announce the sponsor, the sponsorship details and will be updated on HelpMeBlog each time.

So make sure to login to BlogCharm and add your Paypal information (Feb 24th). From there we will be gradually integrating the paid ads into rotation as we get closer to our March 1st launch. 

More good news for BE podcasters!

Now you can add your image to your podcast much like the way we have thumbnails for blogs.

Simply add the url of the image from your add/edit podcast page and you can specify what image you want to use.

Note: If you had an old image there from an existing approved blog you will need to add an image again as we have removed the old system and will have all podcasters use the new avatar system.

An important update has been made to BlogTextLinks today!

Members pointed out that the mouseover for blogtextlinks was not displaying correctly as it was sometimes not showing 100% on screen depending on where you placed it on your blog. Now when you click on Get HTML you can choose where the mouseover comes up so you can position the mouseovers to the left or right depending on where you put your blogtextlinks code on your blog.

BlogExplosion is displaying anywhere from 275,000 to 450,000 textlinks daily so get your BlogTextLinks posted now and generate more blog traffic!

BlogExplosion Radio is now out of BETA and rocking the internet with over 1300 songs in our library that we broadcast online 24-7.

Unlike many other internet radio stations, BE Radio allows listeners to do many things…

- We have full radio stats so you can see where people are listening from around the world

Well this has been some time in the making as we needed some extensive scripting in place to make it work but ….

The BlogExplosion Podcast Directory now lists VideoCasts as well where you can watch videos submitted by our members! Some interesting and wacky content to be enjoyed for sure.

We have also partnered with VH1 to bring everyone some great content that is updated on a regular basis!

In the next couple of days we will have all of the VH1 content up on the site but for now you can check it out here for their Best Week Ever feed.

BlogExplosion is proud to announce the launch of BlogTextLinks today!

Some members simply hate surfing for credits so this is a great way to earn blog traffic each time your blog is shown. Each time your blog is viewed with your textlink code you will display 5 text links from other members. For that you earn 2.5 textlink impressions in return where your textlink ad will be shown.

For example: If your blog gets 100 visits per day (500 textlinks displays) that means your textlinks will be automatically shown 250 times without even lifting a finger. That could result in hundreds of extra visits to your blog every month.

BlogExplosion will be launching BlogTextLinks tomorrow morning where members can earn extra blog traffic by exchanging text links with other BE members!

Insert a couple of lines of code on your blog and you will start exchanging blog links where you can choose preferred categories and get traffic from audiences tailored to your blog content!

We will be sending out an email to everyone in the morning that will explain how everything works.

Some members indicated to us this week that certain battles on Battle of the Blogs were stalled and would not finish properly.

We have been looking for the bug and have found it this morning. Battle of the Blogs should be working fine again. If anyone sees their battles getting stalled still please send us a support ticket so we can track it.

We have been making changes to the BE Podcast Directory to make it easier for members to use and provide additional information along the way.

1. VideoCasts have been added now where members can watch vidcasts submitted by BlogExplosion members

2. If you click on View Details we now break down the feed with information of each entry in the feed

You will need QuickTime and-or Windows Media Player to watch the videos depending on the file type in the feed.

NOTE: We have over 100 podcasts and videocasts to approve here still. We are still working on our scripts to read the feeds and display the videocasts properly. Please be patient with us as it takes time to get everything working properly.
