Congratulations to BostonSports who wins $100 for designing the winning logo for helpmeblog.com

Click here to see the final poll results!
With 643 votes tallied and over 30 logos submitted for this contest we want to thank all members of BlogExplosion who participated!
The Poll to vote for the best helpmeblog.com logo is now live.
Note
1- You must be a member of BlogExplosion with an active blog
2- You can only vote once
The winning entry will be announced in a couple of days and all members that submitted logos will have 100 credits added to their BlogExplosion accounts later today!
The next project we are developing is called KNOWLEDGE where members can get their questions answered by other members.
BlogExplosion hopes to have the BETA version ready over the next week or so. Stay tuned for more details!
Now members of BlogExplosion have total control of the credits you earn with the elimination of a manditory auto-assign setting. You are free to use your credits as you please including things on the site like RentMyBlog and Battle of the Blogs!
Login to BlogExplosion and adjust your minimum auto-assign here!
To stop Battle of the Blogs being a popularity contest and voting simply for the most likely to win (win credits rather than choosing the best blog..) we have now changed the format in Battle of the Blogs that ALL 15 voters will win credits regardless of what blog you voted for. Additional changes to BOTB are in the works.
The Blog Herald (a blog I like to visit often) reports that the country of Finland alone has 170,000 bloggers.
We have 24 of them so far..
Ryan Singel of Wired News writes Cliff Notes From the Blog World about a cool blog service called Memeorandum.
Memeorandum tracks and prioritizes popular news from a variery of sources and then layers in blogging discussions covering them. It means that instead of tracking 400 different RSS feeds you can narrow down your search saving tons of time and frustration. That is useful.
With Yahoo already integrating blog content beside news articles look for the continued trend of news and blogging being tighter connected in the future.
Wayne Hurlbert of Blog Business World once again writes an
easy to understand and very useful blogging article.
Blog posts: Older posts bring traffic
“Blog posting on a regular and long term basis pays off in visitor traffic. By simply posting at least three times per week, a blogger creates over 150 posts in one year. More frequent posters may have double or even triple that number of posts in their blog archives.
Those older posts are not permanently lost either. Indexed by search engines, linked by other blogs and traditional websites, and often browsed by blog visitors, older posts continue to work long after they have scrolled off the blog home page. Older posts are like a good gift that keeps on giving.”
From the blogger newbie to blog expert you should read this article because it reminds all of us the patience and dedication/time invested required to blog with success. Rome wasn´t built in a day and neither will your blog!
